Celebrating Two Years in Private Practice!

Two years ago, God told me to take a leap of faith by opening the mental health private practice I had always dreamed of and it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

I want to sincerely thank each of you for every like, comment, share, referral, word of encouragement, and piece of business advice…Your support and encouragement helps motivate me to keep creating content that educates and empowers others and without that, I promise I wouldn’t be here!

Last but not least, in the words of our collective Uncle Snoop, I wanna thank ME! Wait, let me explain...

Because that little voice in the back of my head, (my inner critic that I tell y’all about all the time ), had a laundry list of doubt that was all rooted in FEAR:

Fear that I wouldn’t be successful if I didn’t accept insurance,

Fear that I wouldn’t have enough time to devote to building a thriving private practice while working full time,

Fear that I would never see enough clients to earn a sustainable income.

Two years later and I’m still here, figuring it out day by day, learning where and how to pivot, acknowledging when to ask for help, and taking opportunities outside of my comfort zone to grow.

Last year I wrote this blog listing all the things I learned from my first year in private practice but this year, if I could share just one piece of advice, it would be, be FEARLESS.

Confronting your fear by doing what scares you the most gives you the confidence to keep going, to keep proving your inner critic wrong. Try living outside of your comfort zone and see where life takes you.
